How does the doctor keep up to date on all of
the current techniques and materials?
Dr. Tripp is extensively
trained. Since dentistry
is constantly changing, however, he does a
number of things to stay up to date on all of the
current
findings. He frequently attends continuing
education courses, such as those offered at the
Las Vegas
Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI),
that focus on
the latest in cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry.
He also belongs to a variety of study clubs
that follow and discuss the latest advances in
dentistry.
Our practice accepts most insurance plans.
Dr. Tripp feels that your insurance should
never
dictate the
quality or timing of your treatment. If
you have extensive or long-term dental care,
our office
offers financial assistance through the
Dental
Fee Plan,
an outside financing company with competitive
interest rates. If you have any questions,
call our Wake Forest dental office at 919-556-5566.
Our practice accepts cash, check, and credit
cards such as Master Card and Visa. Payment
is due at the
time of treatment and any amount not
covered by your insurance is your responsibility.

These days, many patients ask about the
best way to whitening their teeth. Dr.
Tripp recommends
the Deep Bleaching™ In-Office Whitening
System, but if your teeth are cracked,
chipped, or discolored,
he may
recommend one of our restorative
services,
such as veneers or bonding. Since each
mouth is unique,
Dr.
Tripp needs to evaluate your teeth to
recommend a specific method.
Crowns, veneers, onlays, inlays and partials…where
can I learn more about these procedures?
Dr. Tripp usually recommends these restorative
procedures as part of a permanent restoration.
They are extremely
durable, comfortable in your mouth, and
natural looking. You can learn more about
these procedures
on our
Patient Education section.
Our Favorite Links includes
links to Empress® crowns and veneers.
The Las
Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies also
has information on these procedures and
others.
If you are curious about any procedure
we recommend, Dr. Tripp always welcomes
your
questions before,
during, and even after you visit.
I brush everyday, but my breath just
is not fresh. Is there anything I can
do?
Yes. Dr. Tripp recommends Tooth and Gum
Tonic, an herbal mouthwash which can
improve your
breath odor.
If you have questions about other ways
to improve your breath, ask Dr. Tripp during your appointment,
or call us at 919-556-5566.
I want my front teeth to look better,
but I do not want to wear braces. What
would
you
recommend?
These days, there are several cosmetic
services that let you improve the appearance
of your
front teeth
without braces. One alternative that
Dr. Tripp may suggest are porcelain
veneers.
In this
procedure, a thin layer of porcelain
is
applied to the surface
of your tooth to change the size and
shape of your
teeth. Since every mouth is different,
you first need to schedule
an appointment with
Dr. Tripp so he can evaluate your teeth. After
listening to your
goals and concerns, he may suggest veneers
or another cosmetic dentistry
service to help you
straighten your smile.
During Smile Design, Dr. Tripp looks
at all the factors that compose a smile;
these
are
the shape
of a smile,
the size, the smile line, and the position
of your teeth, lips, and gums when
you smile. He
listens
to what you want to accomplish and
any concerns you may have. Once he has this
information,
he can generate
an image of your new smile, review
the
smile design results with you, and
discuss the
next steps to make
it happen.
My gums bleed after I brush. Is this
something to be concerned about?
Yes, you should be very concerned about
bleeding gums, especially if you haven’t had a check-up
in a while. While it may seem harmless, bleeding
gums can be caused by a variety of health problems,
from gum disease to leaky metal
fillings. If your
gums are bleeding, call Dr. Tripp as soon as possible
to schedule an appointment so he can analyze the
cause.
